An Ordinal Night in Marfa 📸
We had an incredible time at An Ordinal Night in Marfa, and we’re so grateful to everyone who joined us, especially the many open-minded artists exploring Bitcoin and Ordinals for the first time.
The artist community truly shines with its welcoming and supportive spirit, and we're excited to see new artists embrace this innovative space.
At Gamma, we're here to help artists every step of the way as they discover the potential of Bitcoin-based art.
Thank you all for making this event such a memorable experience!
Keep an eye out for something a little bit special coming out of Marfa as well, which will be by Gamma Partner Artist Michelle Thompson. (A clue below).

Beyond the Canvas: Conversations with Gamma

Partner of the Week
Meet Viola MissCode, a digital artist with a unique voice and a vision deeply rooted in both tradition and innovation. Viola’s journey into digital art and Bitcoin ordinals has been shaped by a life steeped in creativity, from her early inspirations to her bold embrace of cutting-edge technology.
Her grandmother was a plastic artist, and she grew up drawing. Art has always been a part of jer life, and drawing to her feels like a childhood dream come true.
Viola’s journey into Bitcoin ordinals began in 2020, when she discovered Bitcoin’s revolutionary nature.
By March 2023, she encountered the Ordinals protocol and immediately recognized its potential.
Over a year, she inscribed approximately 150 unique pieces, ranging from 50kb to 395kb each, using special satoshis. The experience, she notes, has been "fluid and simple."
Explore her work here.
Preserving the Physical 🧡
Digitising physical artwork and inscribing it on Bitcoin offers a unique permanence that differentiates it significantly to the ephemeral nature of traditional art. By inscribing it on-chain, artists ensure their work is preserved somewhat indefinitely, accessible worldwide, and immune to damage or loss. This process not only extends the artwork's reach but also secures its authenticity and legacy in a way that physical mediums cannot.
See the blog below where we meet some Gamma Partner Artists who create entirely physically, and then bring that work to the digital world through scanning and other methods.
Thanks for tuning in, we’ll see you next week, touch some grass! 🪴
