1 of ? by Jack Butcher
Earlier this week, we partnered with artist Jack Butcher to release a free open edition for 24hrs, with all service fees donated to St. Jude. In the end, we were able to raise $182,950 — thank you all who claimed an edition to support, and thank you to Jack for this incredible initiative!
For each edition purchased on Gamma, Jack hand-signed the same number of signatures (35,262) on an 80ft physical piece that comes with the 1 of 1 inscription above; bidding is now live on Sotheby’s below.

Ordinals Spotlight: Illustration
Illustration as an artistic genre has a history that dates back to ancient civilizations, where it was used to convey stories and information through visual means. The Renaissance brought scientific and anatomical discoveries to life through detailed prints by artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Albrecht Dürer. The 18th and 19th centuries saw the rise of book illustration, especially in children's literature, with iconic works by artists like John Tenniel (illustrator of Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland"), and Beatrix Potter "The Tale of Peter Rabbit". Modern printing techniques brought to life classics such as Maurice Sendak's beloved children's books like "Where the Wild Things Are," and artists can now preserve their illustrations on Bitcoin through the ability to inscribe a file directly onto the BTC blockchain, ensuring permanence and immutability for their digital creations.
Let’s meet four Gamma Partner Artists who create in this ageless genre.
Partner of the Week - Empress Trash
Welcome to another Featured Artist of the Week, a series highlighting remarkable artists creating Ordinals through the Gamma Partner Program! Today, meet Empress Trash, a multi-versatile artist, playfully controversial, and an art + human rights maxi.
Empress Trash has been featured on and dropped work on the biggest platforms in the digital art space, but would trade it all to ensure that the disadvantaged get looked after and fed. She is a huge fan of color, glitching animations, the female form, and having fun with her art as a form of therapy, to convey a message, and also for the little girl inside her.

In a recent conversation with Empress Trash, we chatted all things disparity in the space, authenticity, supporting emerging artists, and more. You can listen to our entire conversation in the following interview:
Make sure to follow @EmpressTrash on X, an artist who brings a raft of experience, as well as a good dose of humor and reality to the space. As we continue to spotlight the vibrant talent within our community, we invite you to explore and celebrate new creators on Gamma. Stay tuned for more!
Thanks for tuning in, we’ll see you next week!
