A look back at 2023
Last year was a big year for Bitcoin and Gamma. Let’s take a look back at some of our biggest, most exciting launches:
Launching a seamless marketplace for Ordinal Inscriptions on Bitcoin. At Gamma, we put creators and user safety first. The marketplace is built directly on Bitcoin L1 infrastructure and insures that the platform's solutions will remain trustless over time, also using a PSBT solution. Launching the first automated inscription service. Today, you can easily upload images or text and inscribe your work onto Bitcoin with no Gamma service fees. Check it out!
Our biggest facelift yet. We completely revamped the homepage and site to improve user experience, discoverability, and feature more artwork. This year, we’ll be shipping even more beautiful updates.
Remember our previous homepage? Now she’s new and improved, including custom updates that allow collection owners to set a color theme. ✨Hosting the first major US Ordinals Conference with Nolcha Shows & Inscribing Atlantis. We provided attendees with an opportunity to learn, network, and engage with the growing Bitcoin Ordinals community. The event was a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and community, and it demonstrated the potential of the Bitcoin Ordinals ecosystem to drive innovation and change in the world of art and technology. Stay tuned for more events in 2024!
The launch of Prints. In looking for ways to make Bitcoin Ordinal Inscriptions more accessible, we utilized recursive inscriptions as a way for artists to release edition-style work with low on-chain fees. We even created our first physical art book featuring Prints! Check out the latest Prints from Gamma Partner Artists, and apply to the Partner Program today!
Thank you to all the collectors, creators, artists, and supporters of Gamma out there. You helped us make 2023 an amazing year for Bitcoin.

Featured Partner Artist of the Week
Today, we’re featuring TheArtist, the artist behind The Guests on both Bitcoin and Stacks, as well as the Birds of a Feather collection for The Pandemonium. Recycled Youth is his mantra, and experimentation is his game!
TheArtist has a rich background of creating 90’s & vintage art. As an artist creating on Stacks and now Bitcoin, he has collaborated with a number of high profile artists such as Boozy, and also has a Web3 development and consultancy agency with his partner in crime pq. His entry to NFTs began on Stacks with The Guests, a collection that has now invaded BTC as Ordinal Guests.
TheArtist loves to push the boundaries of what is possible, and has made several interactive prints on Gamma. In this following piece on the left, the spider follows your mouse! The piece on the right was a new style for him, featured in the limited edition Art Basel Miami prints book.
In a recent conversation with TheArtist, we dived into his philosophy on community, creating authentically, patience, and the art of collaboration. You can listen to our entire conversation in the following interview:
Keep an eye on all TheArtist drops with us on Gamma — he has a plethora of art ready to release and is excited to and build for his community and others on Bitcoin. Finally, don’t forget to retweet this thread on X; as we continue to spotlight the vibrant talent within our community, we invite you to explore and celebrate new creators on Gamma. Stay tuned for more artist features!
Thanks for a great year everyone! Here’s to an even greater 2024🥂
