Partner of the Week - Billy Restey
Welcome to another Featured Artist of the Week, a series highlighting remarkable artists creating Ordinals through the Gamma Partner Program! Today, meet Billy Restey, a generative, 3D, and AI artist, who is deeply entrenched in Ordinals culture and folklore.
Billy has become a name synonymous with Ordinals. Beyond having inscribed many popular collections and pieces of art on Bitcoin, he's also released several Prints on Gamma.
Billy's work was curated for the Amsterdam Blooms, which was presented during Inscribing Amsterdam 2023. This collection invoked the city with centuries of history, rich symbolism, and a mosaic of cultural diversity (pictured below on the left).
Billy’s BitBlocks collection was a community initiative, where the community inscribed on-demand a generative work using a pre-existing inscription, remixing it into something quite abstract and wonderful (pictured above on the right).
In a recent conversation with Billy, we talked about Bitcoin as a canvas, experimenting artistically, his love for abstract art, sat hunting, and more. You can listen to our entire conversation in the following interview:
Finally, be sure to follow Billy Restey on X and retweet the feature thread!
