Spooky Season 👻
Spooky season is nigh… We’re excited to announce a new challenge! We’ll be giving away three one-million sats prizes in celebration of art on Bitcoin. Here’s how you can win:
Creators: Launch a Halloween/Spooky/Dark themed artwork anywhere on Bitcoin (we of course invite you to launch with us on Gamma!). We recommend editions so you can affordably spread your art across all of Ordinals. Any collection or Print involved in the challenge will be voted on by our curation committee of Partner Artists and Partner Curators, and the winning artwork will be awarded a million sats, AND the collection or prints drop with the most mints (must have 100 unique holders) will also win a million sats!
Collectors: Simply collect and hold one of these Spooky Season drops at the end of the challenge to win a million Satoshis.
All collections and Prints drops must be launched between 21st - 31st October. Voting for eligible collections will take place the week beginning 4th November. Winners will be notified shortly after! Voting will be open to all Gamma Partner Artists and Partner Curators, decentralizing the selection process (~200 artists and Bitcoin art platforms). How and where? Creators can launch anywhere on BTC. Collectors can collect anywhere on BTC. Just ensure you tag @trygamma and use the hashtag #SatoshiScares for what you create and to look for what to collect.
Apply to be a Gamma Partner Artist
Apply to our November 1st intake of artists for the Gamma Partner Program! Submit your application by October 27th at midnight PT to be considered for next month’s cohort.
Partner of the Week
Welcome to another Featured Artist of the Week, a series highlighting remarkable artists creating Ordinals through the Gamma Partner Program! Today, we meet Arno Carstens, a South African artist whose work spans multiple disciplines, from music to fine art.
Arno grew up as one of four boys. As the creative one, he was writing early songs on the toilet and knew how to use the power of art to tell stories and make people think and feel.
Arno's artistic style has been deeply influenced by South Africa, its land, people, and culture. He has played on the biggest stages with the biggest bands, and is a music icon in South Africa. He has also successfully exhibited and sold his fine art, though he still considers himself a student of art.
In a recent conversation with Arno, we discussed touring, digitizing, parenting, partying, and learning. You can listen to our entire conversation in the following interview:
