New Auctions update
Check out our updated Auctions page now over at gamma.io/auctions.
We’ve completely revamped the auctions portal. Now, you can explore and find all auctions by category, auction status, and filters like ‘most bids’ or ‘newly listed’.
For creators, we’ve given you the room to add item-specific descriptions so that you can describe your piece, tell your story, and let bidders know of any perks that come with winning your auction.

Your guide to BNS domains
Blockchain Name System (BNS), considered use-cases of blockchain technology, are blockchain domains that are secure and open, with decentralization at their core. The domain assets only belong to the owner and are censorship-resistant, making integrity one of their top qualities.
On Gamma, you can use your blockchain domain to transfer NFTs to someone by typing in their .btc name instead of the longer alphanumeric wallet address, or you can use it to view your own or someone else's profile and NFTs on Gamma. Your BNS name is automatically reserved as your unique profile address, like gamma.io/example.btc.

Learn about NFT Royalties
Introducing Gamma Learn, a collection of informative articles on Gamma to help you better understand Web3. Here’s a preview of this week’s topic, NFT Royalties.
What are NFT royalties?
NFTs have the ability to distribute royalties from resales to NFT creators. With non-fungible tokens, NFT royalties give the original creator a percentage of the sale price each time their creation is sold on the secondary market.
Once minted, the NFT will earn a percentage on all future sales meaning artists can have their fair share of subsequent sales from their creations for perpetuity, which seldom happens in the real world. Every time a new owner re-sells the digital asset, the creator gets a percentage of the sale again. 5 to 10% is considered a standard royalty percentage, but with most NFT marketplaces, creators can set their royalty amount themselves during the minting process…

Antonietta Fiorenza (nietta.btc)🌟
We’re excited to introduce Antonietta to the Gamma community! Antonietta (or nietta.btc) is a visual and digital illustration artist from Sydney focusing primarily on cartoon/vector art and semi-realism. Aside from being an amazing artist, she’s known as the co-creator of the ARIA & Deadly nominated Australian Children's brand, 'Chrissy's Island Family.’
I am inspired by everything around me - the people, sights, and sounds that fill my life. From established artists to new talents, I find inspiration everywhere, and it brings me joy and gratitude.
Antonietta was first introduced to the world of NFTs through social media. Through her online connections, she was invited to attend the first ever AUSWOMENINWEB3 Road Trip across Australia to help raise awareness and opportunities for women in the Web3 space.
As a result of this amazing journey, her first NFT "Fairy Floss Day" was created as a part of the 2022 edition of the AUSWOMENINWEB3 collection, which is part of the "NFTs For Good" initiative. She hopes to continue to make positive and meaningful contributions to the communities she’s a part of.
I am so grateful to have been introduced to Stacks through the Auswomeninweb3 Road Trip 2022. Stacks and Gamma were incredibly supportive and encouraging, not just as sponsors of the road trip, but as believers in the potential of women in the Web3 space and as individual artists. I was honoured to have the opportunity to meet Brett, the community manager of Gamma, in person at NFTFest Melbourne, and later connect with Gordon from Stacks. They were both incredibly humble and supportive, providing valuable guidance and support. I knew from that moment on that Stacks and Gamma were truly dedicated to empowering and uplifting women in the web3 community, and I am so grateful to be a part of it.
To learn more about Antonietta, check out her website and Gamma profile. Congrats to Antonietta on her latest collection release on Gamma, Trailblazing Digital Dreams!
Thanks for tuning in, we’ll see you next week!
